Puppy Classes for dogs aged 8weeks to 16weeks

The most critical timer in a puppy's life for development is between 8 to 16 weeks of age. This is when your puppy learns it's position in the new pack (your family) and also learns how to relate to it's new environment. If you are successful during this stage your puppy is well on the way to becoming a nice, sociable, well behaved member of your family.

Our puppy classes are run by our Veterinarians, Qualified Dog Trainers and Veterinary Nurses who will show you and your family how to:

• Train your puppy to sit, stay, heel, come, drop, and more.
• Socialise your puppy with other dogs, and people.
• Teach you how to groom, bath, clip nails, check ears & teeth, medicate and generally care for your dog.
• Maintain good health for your puppy.
• Understand basic dog behaviour.

We encourage children to participate in our puppy classes so they too can play a role in looking after their puppy in a fun way.

Weekly classes are held in our purpose built training facility located at the back of the clinic.

Highton Canine Companions for dogs aged 4 months to 12 months of age

For well-mannered and sociable dogs, come along to Highton Canine Companions. Run by a highly experienced instructor, this program is aimed at developing dogs that will be a pleasure to own and have around. The training is informative and fun for you and your puppy.

At the end of the program, your dog should:

• Walk beside you on a loose lead.
• Accept a stranger.
• Walk through a crowd.
• React without aggression to other dogs.
• Be tied up and left without being stressed.
• Come, stay and drop when requested.
• And much more.

Weekly classes are held in our purpose built training facility located at the back of the clinic.

WHEN: 7.30pm - 8.30pm, or sometimes 8.30pm to 9.30pm
